So, there seems to be a lot going on with birds. Hmm, curious.

I bring this up because it pertains to a larger question I've been turning over. Since Passing Town is a sort of spin-off of a pretty-darned large body of work, I know a lot about the history, geography, religion, politics, and etc. about Ableton and its environs. I know much more than you need and waaaaay more than you want to know, so I have a hard time figuring out when, or if, to work any given thing in. I know I could easily overwhelm you, but I don't want to mislead you either. For example, it's no accident that San is talking to and hallucinating birds (or that he called Brisa a "fledgling"), but it's not entirely his weirdness. There just happens to be a lot of bird symbolism in the culture. Most of it is his weirdness though. He's pretty weird.
